This is the course syllabus of the course Embedded Systems
The subject System-on-Chip (SoC) Design is introduced in 3 out of 15 weeks in the course Embedded Systems. By a serie of lab exercises the student learns how to build a simple SoC using a RISC processor and additional logic blocks, both housing on a single FPGA fabric. Furthermore, the student develops drivers and a first software application running on the design. Debugging hardware and software is crucial for hardware/software co-design as shown in the labs.

Theory and labs are based on overviews and tutorials from Xilinx and ZynqBook, slightly adapted to our needs.
